

Visits to Chicago
We visited Chicago in April and May. The Halyard Mission Foundation conducted exhibits and discussions with Veterans groups that were extremely interested to learn more about the Halyard Mission. Additionally, three activities were held in Serbian Orthodox churches in the Chicago area to help build awareness within the Serbian-American community.


Meeting with family members in San Antonio
On May 3, we met with family members that were rescued during the Halyard Mission. These are new families in our growing network. The Halyard Mission Foundation is committed to Finding 500, to finding all the families that were rescued and connecting them with the Serbian people who assisted in the rescue mission. This is an important component of telling the story all across the United States.


Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville
Fayetteville, North Carolina On May 9, members of the Halyard Mission Foundation met with the director of the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville. The museum has committed to establishing a temporary exhibit on the Halyard Mission from June to December 2022. Additionally, the museum is undertaking an important renovation and update of its permanent exhibits and has planned to include an interactive exhibit dedicated to the Halyard Mission. National World War II museum in New Orleans
On 5-6 May 2022, representatives from Halyard Mission Foundation met with officials from the National World War II museum in New Orleans. They established an agreement for future collaboration including writing articles and interviews, holding webinars, and hosting live events at the museum. The museum has over 800,000 visitors annually and its extensive online network regularly reaches over one million viewers. This is an important agreement with an important institution.


Halyard Mission Day at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa
Saturday, 30 April, Halyard Mission Day at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa, Arizona. Excellent participation from family members of rescued airmen, the Serbian-American community, and the general public. Thirty-six friends and family flew on the C-47 aircraft. This specific aircraft flew missions during the Halyard Mission, which made the flights even more special for family members who were able to fly on the aircraft that actually helped rescue their fath


Presentation in Naperville, Illinois
The Halyard Mission Foundation held a presentation and exhibit which was sponsored by American Legion Post 43 and held at the Judd Kendall Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Naperville, Illinois, on April 22nd.
