... Halyard mission was situated in Boljanić, Bosnia. After journey to south and failed attempt to make airstrip in Nišići near Sarajevo, mission came back to Boljanić where previous landing took place on November 1st. However, due to bad weather which lasted for weeks, it was not easy to arrange for evacuation. In preliminary message with mission chief Nick Lalich, his superior, ACRU commander George Kraigher, considered if it would be possible to cross partisan line and head to Allied mission in Belgrade. Situation was also difficult since supplies were low, and several of the 20 Airmen needed medical attention.
