One of the photos made by J.B. Allin, photographer of Halyard and Ranger mission. His caption describes moment: "The Attitude and spirit of the men were always high. Major Carpenter, MC (OSS), relates a good one that they haven't heard. 13. Sept. '44." Men on the photo are members of the crew of B-24 Liberator 42-51624, that was shot down on return from mission to Ploesti near Belgrade on September 8th. They were evacuated, together with J. B. Allin, near Koceljeva on September 17th.
